Nigel Branker is a Partner and leader of Morneau Shepell’s Defined Contribution (DC) Pension Consulting practice in Ontario. He is an actuary with more than 15 years of experience providing strategic advice on pension plans and other retirement benefit arrangements.
Nigel’s expertise includes the design, implementation and financial management of plans, member education and communication strategies as well as integrated pension administration. Nigel’s responsibilities include supporting clients with their investment structure design, fund manager selection, and plan governance including the monitoring and oversight of providers.
Having worked extensively in the design and delivery of web-based employee self-service, modelling and decision analysis software, Nigel often advises plan sponsors on the optimal use of technology as part of comprehensive retirement solutions.
Nigel has an Honours BSc in Actuarial Science and Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
