Joy Sloane is Vice President, Consulting. Joy entered the consulting field in 1989, and is currently a Client Relationship Leader for some of the firm’s largest clients. Focused on cost-effective and creative delivery of employee benefit programs, she ensures seamless delivery of all consulting and administration services. Her clients include an international logistics company, retailers, financial services organizations, a Canadian-based social justice organization and several public sector associations. Prior to becoming a consultant, she spent several years in the insurance industry in various technical positions.
Joy has significant experience in the harmonization and re-design of both active and pensioner benefit programs in both the public and private sector. She has led the development of benefit program integration resulting from acquisitions as well as government legislated amalgamations, and the successful execution and launch of the integrated programs. In her public sector work she has been the strategic lead for large association programs, assisting with innovative program design, financial management and overall governance of programs. In her retail work, she has expertise in HR consulting, benefits and retirement, employee communications and disability management outsourcing. Joy is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences.
Joy has a BSc in Finance and Economics from Lake Superior State University, Michigan. She is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (LOMA) and holds the FLMI and HIAA designations.
