Idan Shlesinger is a Senior Partner in Morneau Shepell’s Retirement Pension Consulting practice and Managing Partner of Morneau Shepell’s Capital Accumulation Plans (CAP) Services Practice. In these roles, Idan provides leadership and guidance for pension consulting staff, and also serves as the client relationship lead for several large multi-line clients. In addition, Idan provides strategic direction for Morneau Shepell’s CAP Administration practice, the largest independent CAP administration practice in Canada. Idan is a member of Morneau Shepell’s Executive Council, which provides overall leadership and direction for the firm.

 Idan has 15 years of experience providing advisory services to corporate and public sector organizations, encompassing pension program design, funding, and strategic direction, in both defined benefit and CAP spheres. He has been involved in various initiatives to create next-generation pension solutions, and focuses on bringing a long-term actuarial perspective to CAP program design and operation.

Idan grew up in South Africa and commenced his actuarial studies at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. He immigrated to Canada in 1994 and completed his studies at the University of Toronto. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and of the Society of Actuaries.
