TORONTO, April 23, 2018 /CNW/ - Morneau Shepell has opened its bilingual crisis support hotline to help anyone affected by the tragic incident involving a number of pedestrians in North York, Toronto on Monday, April 23, 2018.

"Our deepest sympathies are with the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives, and our thoughts continue to be with those impacted by today's events," said Stephen Liptrap, president and chief executive officer, Morneau Shepell. "We know many people will be searching for ways to cope with the realities of this incident and, as such, we have opened our 24/7 bilingual crisis hotline. We are here to help and encourage those seeking support to reach out."

Morneau Shepell's national 24/7 crisis support line offers professional emotional support, in both of Canada's official languages, to anyone in crisis. When calling the crisis line, individuals receive crisis counselling support and/or referral to community resources. Anyone affected by the incident in Toronto can reach the crisis support line at 1.844.751.2133.
